Hiking tripsin the land of beautiful viewsWe offer different hiking trips that will enable you to experience Brda from a different prospective. Through vineyards and orchards to some fine examples of cultural heritage that cannot be seen from a car. These trips are suitable for all. Between vineyards and orchardsŠlovrenc – Slavče – Gradno – Višnjevik – Vedrijan – Imenje – Šmartno This hike will take approximately 5 hours at a good pace, it is traced through vineyards, orchards and small villages of interest.We start at the church place in Šlovrenc and follow a paesant path to Slavče in Gradno village. A visit to the Church of St.George, where frescoes by Lojze Spacal and Via Crucis by the renowned artist Zoran Mušič can be admired. From village Gradno a way leads us to the oldest plantation of olive-trees in Brda. A stop at winemaker’s in Višnjevik and wine tasting. From Višnjevik we descent to the valley and then continue upwards to the village Vedrijan, a short break for a snack will be in place. The descent will be followed by another ascent to the village Imenje, and finally, the last leg to Šmartno. A visit to the medieval village and lunch at the Inn Turn with typical dishes of Brda will end the trip. Price: 50,00 € per person includes all visits and admissions in the program, wine tasting, a snack, lunch, organization and a local guide. Korada hillSabotin – Korada – Šmartno Arrival in Brda at 9:00. Your local guide receives the group in Hum. We drive to the peak of Sabotin, 609 m , and visit the caverns ( man made caverns used in WWI by both belligerent sides). A walk to the church of St. Valentin (archaeological site).By bus to the village Vrhovlje. An hour’s walk to the hill Korada. With Korada the Brda landscape rises to its highest point, 812 m above sea level. A rest is followed by delicious homemade lunch in Korada refuge. Descent by bus to Šmartno, before departure a visit to the fortified village and a glass of wine for goodbye. Price: 26,30 € per person includes all visits and admissions in the program, lunch, organization and a local guide. Natural heritage in BrdaŠmartno – Kožbanski kot – Višnjevik - Korada A local guide recives the group in the medieval village Šmartno. A stroll through narrow streets, a visit to baroque Church of St. Martin, art exhibitions in the House of Culture and the typical Brda house, the Gothic house, now ethnological seeingvisitingtourinspectionviewsurveyogledmuseum. By bus to village Hruševlje and a walk through the valley of the stream Kožbanjšček. The Kožbanjšček valley is criss-crossed by layers of differently resistant rock, which the stream tried to conquer in various ways. The stream overcome the fall of a 10 meter high cliff by digging out miniature channels, rapids and cascades. It has also carved three natural pools which have become a popular bathing place for the youth in summer. At approximately 800 m above Kotline and Kožbana, the Kožbanjšček stream has dug out a particularly picturesque gorge called Krčnik. The water has created a stone bridge, classified as one of the most beautiful natural bridges in Slovenia. After a due stop at the wine maker’s we will start an hour’s walk to the hill Korada. Korada is home to many plant and bird species, extinct in other parts, but still to be found here.. A short break is followed by delicious homemade lunch in Korada refuge. Price: 43,50 € per person includes all visits and admissions in the program, wine tasting, a snack, lunch, organization and a local guide.
